2008 Bentley Brooklands V8 In The Flesh!!!!!!!

For years Bentley name has been a mouths of the rich and famous. The car is famous for its plush interior, beautiful wood grain trimmings, powerful engine and that famous grill. Now Bentley has redesigned the Brooklands all the way around for the 08. It looks like its sister the Arnage ( four door version). The only thing different of course is it has two doors and redesigned backside. This car screams opulence and look at me I'm rich. Shit...here's the catch they are only making 350,000 of this car for the next three years. Yep that's right that means it's also exclusive like hell get yours if you can..bet you Diddy ass already got one on order.lol

ROCK MEETS FASHION

Rock and Republic is my shit right now all the mens jeans and shirts are fire. Everyone from Eva Longoria and Tony Parker to Victoria and David Beckham are wearing this shit. I recently watched the fall 2008 show from fashion week NYC. Let me just say edgy and creative are the two words that sum it up. I will truly be on scene when they have have another show fashion week rocks and next year look out NYC next year fashion week will be my week as well.

VOGUE REPRINTS TO SATISFY FASHIONISTAS

Every once in a while the fashion industry gets a jolt. This time the jolt came from the Italian Vogue. Their black issue is causing a stir in the fashion world. The magazine features four different covers with pictures of Iman, Tyra Banks, Naomi Campbell, Tocara, Chanel Iman, Alex Wek, and a host of others. The magazine was shipped with 10,000 copies to be sold in the US. I couldn't believe it when I heard that is sold out quick. The black issue sold so well it was reprinted and 40,000 more copies were shipped through out. I hunted everywhere and all the book stores were sold out. I was  like damn the shit sold like its the fucking Wii. Then I went to ebay and magazine is being sold at three hundred dollars for all four covers.  As I was in Time Square the other night in NYC I saw it and snapped it up right quick. The pictures are stunning and the magazine is worth the 16 dollars. I want to tell everyone right now  if you see it buy it and support blacks in fashion we have a voice too.

SUMMER CD RELEASES....THE SECOND COMMING

Well here we are  mid year in 2008 and some heavy hitters have already dropped  Flo-Rida, Sean Kingston,  Mariah Carey-E=MC2, Janet Jackson- Discipline already sounding of the wave the next wave is almost upon us. The second coming is to be the summer hitters and to me that really counts. The summer songs are songs that define a summer. Last summer for me was Swizz Beats, Beyonce, and T-Pain. They were my iPod heavy hitters. This time my summer song selection will get bigger with Usher's new release, Chris Brown-Exclusive (Forever Edition), and the anticipated  Lil' Wayne-The Carter III. I feel that these artist will sure bring in some summer heat. Until the next episode peace.

BLACKBERRY FEVER

Checking your email 8 to 20 times a day....well I do. I do my checking on my Treo 755p. The rest might do their checking and surfing on the Blackberry. I have owned one before the Blackberry 7100i and I can truly say they are addictive. The Blackberry years ago where big green screened calculators that checked emails and thats it. Only business and corporate workers carried them. Now times have changed and the device is now a status symbol. Everyone from Paris Hilton to your friends own one. They are now considered multimedia devices. They include the the Peral 81xx, the 88xx, and the 83xx or the the Curve. The phones also come in many colors and are availble on most major carriers. If you have not tried one out try it but be warned... you will become a crackberry addict. 

SPOT LIGHT DESIGNER: DIANE VON FURSTENBERG

One word the wrap dress. In 1974 Diane created the wrap dress that the fashion industry admires still to this day. To me she is creative and inspiring. She has just launched the spring 2008 collection. The collection 2008 is truly an impressive sight. The fabrics are loaded with floral prints, whites and gorgeous pastels. Diane is also noted for her luggage and fragrances.  Then to top it off the fashion house now has a spanking new studio/store. The store is located on the bottom and then the penthouse/meeting area/studio is on top . The fabulous studio is located in the trendy Meatpacking district in New York City. SPRING UP YOUR FASHION

With time going forward in a couple of days you know what that means......Yep its spring time. Which also means that its time to ditch the fall colors and fabric of the blacks, browns, greys and my fav the tweed. Now it is time for warm pastel colors of yellow, pink, red, and white. I love spring fashions because it gives one a chance to expand ones color palate. The designers who have the hottest spring lines are Calvin Klein (love him), Tommy Hilfiger, Ralph Lauren, Bottega Veneta, and Versace. Now I'm gonna be real there are affordable classics that do the trick as well. For one, Lacoste their shirts are affordable classic and come in a variety of pastel colors. Then I was in express for men and their color choices are equally as good. So fellas get your game on and step it up. Because if I see a another black shirt this spring I'm gonna catch a case. You have options lets use them.

Janet's Back In Full Force

The icon, the diva Janet Jackson is back. After the luke warm receiption of 20 y.o. Janet left virgin records and went back into the studio. She is now on island/def jam and ready to get it in. The new album Discipline is a fresh start and with a new sound. This album comes in a regular version and a deluxe/dvd set. The album is number one right now and the lead off single 'Feedback" is a club thumper. Watch out for this seasoned entertainer in 2008 because she gonna come with the heat.

MAN BAGS ARE THEY CATCHING ON YET?

Men for sometime now have the option to buy designer bags. They range from the popular puma bag to the the upscale Hermes bag. The question is do men really carry them? The answer is yes. Asian men have no problem with carrying these bags. My friend and I have noticed these men and there bags. Pharrell and Kanye are two guys that I have noticed that are of color who carry these bags. These two celebs are known for carrying the highly coveted Louis Vuitton bags. Pharrell even had an ad campaign with Vuitton. I feel that it's time for regular guys to step up to the plate and rock these bags. The bag that I'm in  love with the Coach tote(www.coach.com) for men the bag is just plain sick. Another question I have to ask are most men comfortable with these bags? no. Why because they feel that it mean that you are less then a man but to me if you can afford it why not wear it.

NEW YEAR, NEW SCENT!!!!

Every year I feel that to start the new year off right one needs get new a fragrance. To enter a new year with some new scents just seems like a fresh start. Then you also have spring not far ahead so that means it's time to ditch the heavy winter scents. Me, personally I go to Macy's or Sephora to get my fragrance fix on. After trying numerous samples I picked these following scents to be the creme de la creme of scents. Sex and The City: The Movie

Sex and the City was one of HBO's most watched series. It had a fabulous cast and the fashion well....need I say more. The show ended four years ago and is now in edited (yawn) syndication. I refuse to watch the edited shit because it just seems bland to me. That is why I have  the SATC box set is so worth it (may cost a lot but ehhhh so does everything else).  The complete box set comes in a velvet photo album loaded with extras. The good news is they are back after all the buzz (about so called movie) Carrie, Miranda, Charolette and Samantha are back. This time they take over the big screen. I have seen the trailer and let me say this I can not wait. The movie is due out this spring just in time for spring break I hope.
